Frequently Asked Questions

Trater supports a wide range of solar inverters that communicate over Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, or Bluetooth serial protocols, including popular brands like Victron, Growatt, SolarEdge, and Deye. Check the in-app compatibility list for your specific model.
Go to Settings → Add Inverter, choose your connection type (WiFi or Bluetooth), enter the inverter's local IP address or scan for nearby Bluetooth devices, and tap Connect. Trater will auto-detect the protocol.
Yes — Trater communicates directly with your inverter on your local network or via Bluetooth. An internet connection is not required.
Go to Settings → Alerts, enable "Battery Threshold Alert", and enter the percentage at which you want to be notified. Trater will send a push notification when your battery drops to that level.
Ensure your phone is on the same WiFi network as the inverter, or that Bluetooth is enabled and the inverter is within range. Check that the inverter's Modbus or monitoring port is enabled in its own settings. If the issue persists, email us with your inverter model.
