1 Who We Are

2 What Data We Collect
Every category of data that Trackast may access or store.

3 How We Use Your Data
Core features
Fasting timer, hydration tracking, meal logging, and weight charts are powered entirely by data you enter and stored locally on your device.
Insights & analytics
Habit scores, streak counts, and weekly summaries are computed on-device from your stored logs.
Health platform integration
When you grant permission, Trackast reads steps, sleep, heart rate, and other metrics from Google Health Connect or Apple Health. We do not write data to these platforms (except optionally writing weight to Apple Health).
AI image analysis
When you use "Scan with AI", the photo is sent over HTTPS to Google Gemini solely to estimate calorie content or liquid volume. The image is not stored by Trackast on any server.
Backup & sync
If you sign in with Google and enable Drive backup, a copy of your data is exported to a private folder in your own Google Drive. Trackast cannot access any other files in your Drive.
Authentication
Google Sign-In identifies your account so your Drive backup can be linked to you. We do not store your Google password.
4 Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only as described below.

We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users.
5 Data Storage & Security
On-device storage
All health logs are stored locally using the Hive embedded database. The data remains on your device and is not accessible to us.
Drive backup
Backup files live in your Google Drive, protected by Google's security infrastructure and your own Google credentials.
Transmission security
Any data transmitted to third-party services (Gemini, Drive) is encrypted using TLS/HTTPS.
No Trackast servers
We operate no backend servers, databases, or analytics infrastructure. There is no Trackast account database.
6 Permissions We Request
CAMERA
To capture food/drink photos for AI calorie & volume analysis (optional feature).
READ_MEDIA_IMAGES
To select existing photos from your gallery for AI analysis (optional feature).
Health Connect permissions
READ_STEPS, READ_WEIGHT, READ_ACTIVE_CALORIES_BURNED, READ_TOTAL_CALORIES_BURNED, READ_SLEEP, READ_HEART_RATE, READ_HYDRATION — to display your fitness metrics on the Health Data screen. Granted only when you tap "Connect" in-app.
INTERNET
Required to communicate with Google Sign-In, Drive, and Gemini APIs.
7 Your Rights & Controls
Access
All data is visible within the app. Export a full copy any time via Settings → Export Data.
Deletion
Delete individual log entries by swiping left. To erase everything, uninstall or use Settings → Delete All Data.
Revoke health permissions
Android: Settings → Apps → Trackast → Permissions, or Google Health Connect → App permissions. iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Trackast.
Revoke camera/photos
Android/iOS device Settings → Apps → Trackast → Permissions.
Drive backup
Delete the backup file from your Google Drive at any time. Revoke Drive access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Google Sign-Out
Sign out at any time from Settings → Account within the app.
8 Data Retention
On-device data is retained until you delete it within the app or uninstall Trackast.
Drive backup files are retained in your Google Drive until you delete them.
Gemini API images are processed in real time and not retained by Trackast. Refer to Google AI Terms for Google's own retention policy.
9 Children's Privacy
Trackast is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the app, please contact us and we will assist with deletion.
10 International Users
Trackast is available worldwide. Because all data is stored on-device, it is subject to the laws of the country where your device resides. Any data transmitted to Google services (Drive, Gemini, Sign-In) is subject to Google's data processing terms.
EEA / UK / Switzerland (GDPR)
You have additional rights including the right to erasure, data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (providing the service) and consent (for optional features such as camera access and Health Connect integration).
11 California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. Trackast does not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact elnimatrix@gmail.com.

13 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you via an in-app notice. Continued use of Trackast after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
